Vintage Java Indonesian 25” Wayang Golek Rod Puppet Carved Painted Wood Face. This charming puppet has a beautifully carved, detailed face. The head is not attached. The joints are connected with string. The body and clothing are in terrific condition with some wear. The dalang (puppet master) hand fits inside with a wood base to hold, the skirt is long enough to cover that arm, and the other hand operates the sticks that control the puppet’s arms.
