Bird Marionette Primitive Folk Art Hand Carved Puppet Wooden Blue Jay nighti. This is a lovely hand made wooden marionette. It appears to be a wooden body at its base, but the wood is covered with painted fabric. One wing is split but just could be re glued. Has glitter that has come off over the years. The feet appear to be painted pounded metal. Very cool and unique. The marionette does not come with a controller but the piece is incredible. The collection it came from was primarily from the 1940s and 1950s so I imagine this item is the same time period if not older. Check out my other marionette and folk art items.
